Demons & Wizards - Fiddler on the green
Ésta fue una de las primeras canciones de heavy, por llamarlo de alguna manera, que escuché. El jugueteo de cuerdas de los primeros compases y su aire triste pero irrevocable, me enganchó en el acto y se convirtió en una de mis preferidas en cuestión de nada y menos.
En general, la letra crea polémica a mansalva. Algunos dicen que trata de una violación, otros que trata de una conversación con la Muerte. Soy de los que se decantan por la segunda opción.
Demons&Wizards es un grupo salido del dúo de Jon Schaffer, de Iced Earth y Hansi Kürsch, de los Blind Guardian. Y aunque la guitarra y la voz de ambos son increíbles, sus respectivos grupos me llaman más bien poco.
Es cierto también que he escuchado más de Blind Guardian que de Iced Earth, pero aun con ésas, puedo decir que con los primeros me pasa un poco como con Metallica: me gustan canciones sueltas, pero no el total. ¡Debe ser que no soy muy metalero, quizá!
